  Create separate plans for a household, office or other purpose, then add, edit, duplicate or organize individual tasks. Responsibilities can be assigned to people and groups so everyone can see who is expected to handle each task.

  Keep important storm decisions and planning information organized before pressure begins to build. The planner supports a more deliberate approach to evacuation decisions, household coordination and other critical preparations.

  Explore storm supplies by category, learn what to look for and review curated product options. Product cards provide short explanations, selection reasons, images and links to available purchasing options where provided.

Solution

We developed flexible data models and conditional interface states that display available NOAA/NHC information while gracefully handling missing or changing advisory data. Technical storm information was translated into scannable cards, location-aware assessments, separate track and cone views, forecast timelines and landfall countdowns that appear only when supported by the source data. Large preparedness plans were divided into collapsible timing phases with progress tracking, critical-task indicators, assignments and focused recommendations to reduce cognitive load. A local-first SwiftData architecture supports dependable offline planning, while reusable checklist templates and people groups allow the experience to scale from families to teams. Finally, a centralized SwiftUI design system and structured JSON content catalogs keep visual styling, messaging, guide content and product recommendations consistent and maintainable throughout the application.
