Purpose of the App

Yahrzeit Reminder helps you track Jewish remembrance dates (including Yahrzeit and Yizkor) using the Hebrew calendar and can calculate sunset-based times for reminders. It is intended as a personal organizational tool.

Important Disclaimers

• No guarantee of accuracy: Hebrew date conversions and sunset-based time calculations may vary by custom, community, halachic opinion, location settings, and other factors. If you have questions about the correct observance for your situation, consult your rabbi or community guidance.
• No guarantee of reminder delivery: Notifications are delivered by iOS and may be affected by device settings (Do Not Disturb / Focus modes), battery, connectivity, permissions, time zone changes, system updates, or other factors. You are responsible for confirming that reminders are enabled and working on your device.

Your Content & On-Device Data

You may enter names, dates, and optional photos to help you remember loved ones. This content is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for maintaining your own backups of your device.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app’s normal operation except where permitted by law.
• Use the app to upload or store content you do not have the right to use (including photos you do not own or have permission to store).

Premium Features & Purchases

The app may offer a premium unlock via in-app purchase. Any purchase is processed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Availability, pricing, and purchase terms are controlled by Apple and may change.

Note: If your premium offering is a subscription (auto-renewing) versus a one-time purchase, your Terms should include those specifics.

Intellectual Property

The app, including its design, text, graphics, and code, is owned by [Your Name/Company] or its licensors and is protected by applicable laws. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your personal use on Apple devices you control, subject to these Terms and Apple’s standard usage rules.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, [Your Name/Company] will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the app.
